前者这个形容词是作“具有历史意义的”讲，后者这个形容词是作“与历史有关的”或“历史上的”讲，要加以区别。（注：prehistoric与prehistorical是同义，都作“史前的”讲，但以使用前者较多，所以个别英语词典已不把后者编取了。）
